Long Walks and Robots Ep.31 - All Stubs and Tits

This Week on Long Walks and Robots...

It appears as though Ryan's dementia is steadily progressing. Between his strokes and Shane's burbs, the show is devolving quickly. Good thing you don't need many dendrites to tell dick and fart jokes.

As for the movies, we travel back to feudal Japan for some cool hair cuts, tons of exposition, and of course blood and guts with "13 Assassins." We also finish paying our respects to the late great DMX by discussing the big-budget blockbuster with straight-to-video vibes, Cradle 2 the Grave. So far in the research, Korean men seem to be leading in the looks department.

The boys find episode 5 of Falcon and the Winter Soldier a bit sleepy, especially with the end of the series right around the corner. Although, what the episode lacks in action, is made up for with some great dramatic moments. America is looking a bit dickish in the absence of Steve Rogers.

The reoccurring actor conspiracy is beginning to approach a fever pitch. Will Shane finally expose the dark network of Ryan's new world movie order??

Long Walks and Robots Ep.30 - Warm Strange Milk

This Week on Long Walks and Robots...

Shane pays respects to the late great DMX.  How?  By barking of course!

The boys are in full alignment this week as they break down the cinemagraphical masterpiece that is "1917."  Shane begins to unravel what appears to be a film conspiracy as the actor overlap through the film suggestions tips past coincidence.  Regardless, the boys fill their canteens with some warm strange milk and dive into the very Korean, "I Saw the Devil."  Is it just me or is Shane really into Asian people?

After dissecting the origins of the Korean serial killer Justice League, Ryan finally dishes a bit about his take on the Snyder-Verse, or lack thereof.

What about Falcon and the Winter Soldier?  Keep your pants on, we get there, geez.  The robots delve into the density of comic book metals and Shane becomes curious as to the coital privileges of the Dora Milaje.

Also, the boys give some fun animated extra credit, theorize the source of Netflix's seemingly bottomless capital, and Shane teaches Ryan the real way to "finish" a cup of tea.

Long Walks and Robots Ep.29 - Microdosing in Wakanda

Welcome back to Long Walks and Robots

Ryan makes his long awaited return after his internet finally got turned back on. Unfortunately AJ was unable to rejoin the podcast so things are basically back to normal.

The robots play a little catch up and wonder why we pay so much for digital "rentals". Shane attempts to get 10 second reviews from Ryan on the movies he missed while he was gone. Then we smash into Godzilla vs Kong and discuss if human characters matter in these spectacle films. After that we break down Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The robots are enjoying the show but is this show going to matter for the long term MCU plan?

Long Walks and Robots Ep.24 - Filipino Steve

This week on Long Walks and Robots...

The boys are back! And now with more diversity! Now it’s two and a half white guys!

Our robots are left bewildered after experiencing Tenet. Though the stars have finally aligned, Shane has pleased his robot brother with the BDE of Harry Potter himself by way of Horns.

Later, AJ, our new substitute Robot, validates the theory that WandaVision is a bit easier to swallow in one bite.

Then, the boys try to decide if everything will eventually be watched at home. Will drive-in theaters be the answer? What they do know is that Mortal Kombat 2021 will never be Shane’s real dad!

All this and more, on Long Walks and Robots.

Enjoy!!

Long Walks and Robots Ep.23 - "Prison, rape, or nazis..."

This week on Long Walks and Robots...

Love is in the air, and in the multi bunk gen pop detention center. The boys find love after lock up in the form of Shot Caller. They also rekindle their affection for the bay with Always Be My Maybe.

Pokémon cards, comic books, and rom coms? Is Shane the real 40 year old virgin??

WandaVision continues to perplex our Robots as to the direction of the MCU. They find themselves looking to the horizon for an unusual savior... Falcon? Yeah, times are rough in the Marvel world.

New segments! Robot Garage Sale, Ryan Reads Tweets, and Why You Need Netflix!

All this and more on Long Walks and Robots!

Enjoy!!

Long Walks and Robots Ep.22 - "That's you, you're the asshole."

This week on Long Walks and Robots...

Lazer and Snowfall suit up! Battle lines are drawn as the boys wage war for dick and fart joke supremacy. Who will emerge the victor? Psycho Gorman? MacGruber? Or perhaps, Sebastian? What we do know is that Rick sounds like a swell fellow.

WandaVision may be a bit of a snooze, but thank heavens for LoveCraft Country. Shane's pants get all tight at the prospect of a Jurnee to the dark side of Sci-Fi.

Bored running out of things to watch? Have no fear, dementia's here! Why look for new things to watch when you can't even remember to wear pants?!

All this and more, on Long Walks and Robots!

Enjoy!!

Long Walks and Robots Ep.21 - I'd Buy That for a Dollar!

This week on Long Walks and Robots....

Technical hiccups throw the robots off their game but eventually they get back into it by discussing the 1987 classic Robocop with everyone's favorite TV dad Red Forman. They then get into the directorial debut for Rian Johnson, Brick from 2005. A noir style film about young kids who act like they are super old for no explainable reason.

Onto WandaVision, where Shane and Ryan are both pretty much on the same page about the show and it's current direction. But while they both feel hopeful about the rest of the season, there is a dark cloud of dread lurking behind them, that may or may not be Galactus.

All this and more on Long Walks and Robots.

Enjoy!

Long Walks and Robots Ep.20 - A Whole Bucket of Titties

This week on Long Walks and Robots...

Why watch one movie when you can watch 3? This is Shane's recommendation as he breaks down the Cloverfield Trilogy. While Shane deals with multi world dilemmas, Ryan makes light work of the early days of quarantine via HBO's Locked Down.

While the ominous landscape of Westview is still ambiguous, hindsight has realigned the viewpoints of our cinephiles as peace falls upon house Robot once more.

Games, yeah, they played em. The path to Valhalla is long and Shane has finally taken the first step.

All this and more on Long Walks and Robots.

Enjoy!!

Long Walks and Robots Ep.19 - Batons and Buttholes

This week on Long Walks and Robots...

Ryan may have slept on Sleepers but in hindsight wishes he'd slept in.   While Shane liked Vice so much he became a Bush apologist.

Meanwhile in Westview, all is quiet in the Maximoff residence, although there seems to be a domestic disturbance in the Robot house.  The slow pace of WandaVision's inaugural episodes has our two dad's at ends.

Later, Valhalla will have to wait as we head back to Montana for some more FarCry.

Enjoy!!

Long Walks and Robots Ep.18 - "Thanks for coming, now f@*#! off"

This week on Long Walks and Robots...

A thousand apologies for the optical scorching placed upon thee. The boys lament over the visual assault known as Tokyo Gore Police and Archenemy.

Ryan and Shane Netflix and chill as they expose their queues to each other. I think Shane likes Cobra Kai, like more than a friend. Apparently Ryan finds the potty humor of Big Mouth's new season unsettling. The boys unfurl some binge options for the last week before WandaVision.

Cyberpunk is still broken, but Cloudpunk is okay I guess?

Enjoy!

Long Walks and Robots Ep.17 - Warwick Davis

This week on Long Walks and Robots...

The aforementioned titular legend deserves some respek on his name. The boys ponder the underwhelming love for Wicket himself.

Movies.... yeah, they talk movies. I mean, it's a movie club. Not that Shane Black watched "the" Shane Black's Mystery/Noir from 2005, "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang." Ryan overcomes his unexplained distaste for Colin Farrell to ingest the idiosyncratic Action/Comedy from 2008, "In Bruges."

The boys finally wrap up the second season of Mandalorian with their breakdown of Chapter 16: The Rescue. As always, Ryan is at odds with Star Wars being Star Wars. Who would've guessed?!

Did we mention Cyberpunk 2077 is broken? Also, Shane read a book for once and won't shut up about it.

Long live Warwick Davis!

Enjoy!!

Long Walks and Robots Ep.16 - The Six Degrees of Shane Black

This week on Long Walks and Robots...

Shane defeats racism through the power of song as an animated ghost in a rock opera that took place entirely in his unconscious mind. Dreams, am I right?

Ryan and Shane also add a third "Fatman" to the Santa-Verse, then breakdown the new-ish animated classic Klaus.

Later, the boys unwrap the many gifts left under the tree by Disney and hope several of the packages came with a gift receipt.

Finally, buckle your beskar cause we talk Star Wars... lots of Star Wars.

Enjoy!!

Long Walks and Robots Ep.15 - Twisted Fairytale Horseshit

This week on Long Walks and Robots...

It's bring your girlfriend to work day! We are graced by the presence of Lucia the Sex Ghost. She helps Shane and Ryan breakdown Christmas Chronicles 2 with her extensive knowledge of German Christmas lore. They also explore the twisted fairytale horseshit known as Krampus.

Mando talk? But of course! Ryan enjoyed chapter 14?? Also, Shane unveils a plethora of theories that are already debunked... fun!

The boys also teach you how to properly sleep in a bathroom!

Enjoy!!

Long Walks and Robots Ep.14 - Ninja Alien Killers

Podcast episode has been live since Monday. Probably would have helped if I actually posted in on my site. Anyways here ya go.

Ryan and Shane coalesce to grieve the time lost while watching the Jiu Jitsu aka Ninja Alien Killers. 2020's newest hot mess "starring" Nic Cage and Tony Jaa. We also delve into the source material, steeped in sardonic humor, that birthed this cinematic exhibition into existence. After fully exhausting the experience Shane and Ryan gain new perspective on the glory that was the 1990's live action Mortal Kombat adaptation.

Later the boys bask in the glory of beskar and revel at the wonder of Mandalorian's 5th episode of its second season. In retrospect, Shane reveals himself to be a profit of things to come in the small screen portrayals of our galaxy far far away. Long live Grogu.

Enjoy!!

Long Walks and Robots Ep.13 - Let's go! Ménage!!

This week on Long Walks and Robots...

Ryan and Shane talk Turkey, literally. Ryan also informs us of his rap beef with Young Thug over the honor of André 3000. Also movies, of course. This week is a triple feature! Ménage!! Ryan kicks of the holiday season with the new Musical/Fantasy fresh from Netflix; Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey. Shane had a markedly different viewing experience with 2012's back to back take over the tower action movies in The Raid: Redemption and Dredd.

And what episode would be complete without babbling about Beskar. We check in on our favorite foster dad, Din Djarin, to discuss chapter 12 of the Mandalorian, "The Siege."

Enjoy!

Long Walks and Robots Ep.12 - Not Episode 11

This week on Long Walks and Robots...

Shane is soured by the revelation that Ryan delivered the plush token of his affection into the jaws of Appa, yip yip.   The boys also discuss their lingering intolerance of lactose and the many signs of Shane's sociopathy.

Obviously there's movie talk .  Knock Knock, who's there?  The 2015 Horror/Thriller "Knock Knock" that Ryan watched, written and directed by Eli Roth.  Shane however had the distinct pleasure of experiencing the 1987  comedy classic, written and directed by John Hughes, "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles."   The seemingly one and only Thanksgiving movie.

Last but not least, the episode would not be complete without some Mando talk.  Now with an intro!  Kind of.

Enjoy!!

Long Walks and Robots Ep.11 - "A F@#kin' Podcast"

This week on Long Walks and Robots...

Shane and Ryan finally reunite for an intimate recording on the couch. Live and in person! That's right, the boys crack a couple of cold ones as they break down their recommendations from last week. Ryan journeys through the woods as he takes in the delightful "Hunt for the Wilderpeople," Taika Waititi's Adventure/Comedy from 2016. Shane also enjoys a bit of travel in viewing Victor Levin's 2018 Romance/Melodrama, "Destination Wedding," starring Keanu Reeves.

No Mando Talk this week, but we do lament on our video gaming, objectify women, and try to figure out if Ben Affleck is a good actor.

Enjoy!!

Long Walks and Robots Ep.10 - Star Wars... but not Star Wars

This week on Long Walks and Robots...

Ryan regales us with his violation as some cyber punk assumes his Playstation identity.   Is there a deeper conspiracy at play??  Is this $1071 back for revenge?  Who knows.  What we do know is that Ryan was unable to fulfill his mission again.  Ahh streaming, you fickle mistress.  So strap in cause Shane pulls double duty and breaks down both movies this week.  First the 2018 Horror/Comedy "Slaughterhouse Rulez," followed by the Horror/SciFi, also from 2018, "Annihilation."

Later, we dip our toes back in a galaxy far far away.  MANDO TALK.  That's right, bask in the Beskar as your new favorite Mandalorian and clever toy marketing vehicle return!  We also discuss the South African Flat Back and find a way to fill the void left by the delay of Cyberpunk 2077.

Enjoy!!

Long Walks and Robots Ep.09 - 9 Weeks Old

This week on Long Walks and Robots...

An act of God, or rather convoluted digital film licensing, prevents Ryan from completing his mission of watching Lexi Alexander's 2005 Crime/Drama "Green Street Hooligans." Never fear though as Shane swoops in with an in depth recap of The Fountain, the 2006 Romance/Sci-Fi birthed from the esoteric brain of Darren Aronofsky.

In between playing the game, "sick or allergies," we discover new ways to wink, our shared hatred of Terrence Malick, and the best way to watch the "Friday the 13th" franchise.

On a final note, this episode was recorded 1 week before the loss of Sean Connery. The intent of the context was not to speak ill of the dead; rather, simply to mock an old man... just to clarify.

Long Walks and Robots Ep.08 - F is for Frank

This week on Long Walks and Robots...

Ryan muses on the 2016 Action/Horror from Korea, "Train to Busan." Shane was tasked with the very Halloween themed "Trick 'r' Treat," Michael Dougherty's Horror/Comedy from 2007. Shane uncovers the origin of Dexter's antagonist Travis Marshall, while Ryan has more warm feelings towards another beloved franchise. Later, Shane begins to question his romantic predilections as he and Ryan finish off "The Boys", season 2, followed by our predictions for Peter Parker's portals. Enjoy!
